From Completed to Ready

The build may be finished. The space still needs its final impression.

Construction and tenant-improvement work leave behind fine dust, surface film, labels, footprints, packaging remnants, and details that become obvious under finished lighting. A strong final clean helps the completed work present the way it was intended.

Firato Service Co., Inc. provides commercial post-construction cleaning based on project stage, remaining trade activity, surface conditions, access, utilities, handoff timing, and the exact responsibilities defined with the project team.

Built Around the Project Stage

The clean is only as effective as the timing.

Trade CompletionCleaning is most effective when dust-producing work is complete in the areas scheduled for final service.
Debris ResponsibilityGeneral construction debris, hauling, dumpsters, and trade-generated materials must be clearly assigned.
Utilities & LightingWorking water, power, lighting, climate control, and restroom access materially affect final-cleaning conditions.
Surface ProtectionProtective film, labels, adhesives, paint, grout, and manufacturer coverings require clear scope decisions.
Access & SecurityKeys, badges, elevators, restricted areas, equipment, parking, and work-hour rules are planned in advance.
Punch-List ActivityA touch-up phase may be useful when contractors return after the initial final clean.

Clear Scope. Cleaner Handoff.

We define what final cleaning does—and does not—include.

Post-construction conditions vary dramatically. Heavy debris, hazardous materials, active demolition, specialty restoration, high-access work, paint or adhesive removal, damaged surfaces, and manufacturer-specific treatments may require separate providers, pricing, or project review.

Before work begins, we document included areas, surfaces, exclusions, preparation responsibilities, project readiness, expected outcomes, and the timing of any final touch-up visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Post-construction cleaning, clearly explained.

What is included in post-construction cleaning?

The scope can include construction-dust removal, surface wiping, floors, carpet, interior glass, doors, restrooms, break areas, millwork, fixtures, baseboards, ledges, and final details. Every included item is defined in the proposal.

When should final cleaning be scheduled?

Final cleaning is most effective when dust-producing work and major trade activity are complete in the scheduled areas. The project team should provide working utilities, lighting, access, and a space ready for cleaning.

Does Firato remove construction debris?

Light cleaning remnants may be addressed when included, but general construction debris, hauling, dumpsters, hazardous materials, and trade-generated waste must be specifically reviewed and assigned before service.

Can you return for touch-up cleaning?

Yes. A defined touch-up visit can be included after punch-list work or returning trades. Timing, areas, and the extent of touch-up work should be agreed upon in advance.

How do we request a post-construction proposal?

Contact our team to schedule a project walkthrough. We will review completion status, conditions, surfaces, access, timing, responsibilities, and the desired handoff standard.
